Top MLB DFS Stacks (Quick Overview)

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and did well in your Week 1 NFL DFS contests! Today we get back to the MLB Grind and if you look above we’ve got some great stacks to target on this 7 game slate tonight. The Braves are currently our top rated stack, but, I’ve got my eye on a few other teams at first glance tonight. Keep reading below to check them out

Pirates vs Reds LHP  Mike Minor

Mike Minor enters tonight’s game with a 5.85 xfip and only a 17.1% strikeout rate. Against right handed hitters he’s been truly awful this season, allowing a 393 woba 248 iso 42% fly ball rate and 39% hard contact rate

Pirates right handed hitters I’ll have heavy exposure to this evening and their woba / iso vs left handed pitching this season

Bryan Reynolds – 321 woba 154 iso
Rodolfo Castro – 327 woba 273 iso
Ke’Bryan Hayes – 359 woba 168 iso
Michael Chavis – 318 woba 205 is

We don’t normally target the Pirates offense with our stacks, but, this matchup is juicy tonight vs a crappy left hander in a great hitters park in Cincinnati

Blue Jays vs Rays RHB Cooper Cirsswell

This game might be the game of the day to stack as both sides are rolling out questionable at best right handed pitchers this evening. The Rays are rolling out Cooper Crisswell, who, has not pitched much at all the last 2 seasons in the big leagues. We don’t have much to go off as far as what he allows to left handed or right handed hitters, so I’ll focus more on what we do know. What we know is this Blue Jays lineup is loaded and this pitcher is in for a rough evening in Toronto tonight.

Blue Jays vs right handed pitching this season

George Springer – 343 woba 201 iso
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. – 358 woba 214 iso
Bo Bichette – 336 woba 186 iso
Alejandro Kirk – 366 woba 150 iso
Teoscar Hernandez – 184 iso
Matt Chapman – 217 iso
Danny Jansen – 233 iso

Plenty of power bats we can target here for the Blue Jays. Keep an eye on the ownership as we get closer to lock because I believe they’ll be high owned in a matchup like this. If their ownership is high, mix and match them to get a little different

Are you ready to dominate?

The MLB Study Hub is my #1 source for research every single day and is one of the VIP Only tools our members have access to daily.

Within the Study Hub you will see today’s MLB Projections for every player along with advanced MLB Statistics like wOBA and ISO vs the Handedness of today’s starting pitcher.

Ownership Projections are included, along with a letter grade ranking system for every player on the slate.

Rays vs Blue Jays RHP Jose Berrios

We mentioned the Blue Jays bats above, now, it’s time to look at the other side of the game and some of these Rays bats. The Blue Jays will run out Jose Berrios today, and he enters this game with a 4.59 xfip and 20% strikeout rate this season. Against left handed hitters he has really struggled allowing a 369 woba 242 iso 40% fly ball rate and 38% hard contact rate while only managing a 17.8% strikeout rate

Rays left handed hitters I have interest in today and some of their stats vs right handed pitching

Wander Franco – 461 xwoba
Brandon Lowe – 497 xwoba over the last 30 days

Other Rays I like here, not specifically left handed hitters

Yandy Diaz – 538 xwoba 197 iso over the last 30 days vs right handed pitchers. Jose Siri has been on fire with a 957 (yes nine fifty seven) xwoba 189 iso vs right handed pitching over the last 30 days

Astros vs Tigers LHP Eduardo Rodiriguez

Eduardo Rodriguez is a reverse splits left hander who really struggles against left handed hitters. He enters today’s game with a 5.36 xfip and 19.2% strikeout rate this year. Against left handed hitters he has been really bad allowing a 429 woba 298 iso and 46% hard contact rate

Yordan Alvarez jumps off the page here, and he’s on my short list as TOP PLAY OF THE DAY in this matchup. This season Alvarez has a 518 xwoba 259 iso and 53% hard contact rate against left handed pitching. Look for at least one DONG in this matchup vs Rodriguez today

Kyle Tucker – 189 iso vs lefties can be played as well as a one off or in apart of your Astros stacks, but he’s not as good vs left handers as Alvarez (but who is?)

The Astros have a few right handed hitters that smash left handed pitching and I’ll be targeting them heavily tonight.

Jose Altuve – 453 woba 350 iso this season
Alex Bregman – 456 woba 261 iso vs LHP in the last 30 days
Yuli Gurriel – 356 woba 185 iso vs LHP dating back to the 2021 season
Trey Mancinini – 346 woba 184 iso dating back to the 2021 season
Chas McCormick – 372 woba 242 iso vs LHP dating back to the 2021 season

I’ll be loading up on Astros today in this matchup

Rankings Today

These rankings are not site-specific and are intended to give you a solid pool of players to build your lineups from. I’ll be using the standard positions, Catcher through Outfield in these rankings so be aware of that if you’re constructing teams on Draftkings where some players can play multiple positions

Something I like to do with this, is to give these players a THUMBS UP or 2, or 3, in Fantasy Cruncher so I can get more exposure to them throughout my lineups
