This game is not a pretty one on paper as we have two offenses that leave a lot to be desired and two defenses that are at best average. One of the biggest weaknesses between the two teams is the Commanders secondary. Through five games they are allowing the 4th most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers and just rank last as a defense in general against the pass.
Mooney is way too cheap for his upside. While I know his target share is not that of a typical WR1, the Bears have been finding ways to get him the ball deep over the last couple of weeks. If Fields can connect with him on a couple of deep balls he could end up as the highest scoring player on the slate. It is a boom or bust play which is why I prefer him in the flex compared to the multiplier spots.
