Welcome to the Top NFL DFS Picks for Broncos vs Colts Thursday Night Football Showdown! The Broncos welcome in the Colts to kickoff week 5 as they are 3.5 point favorites and the game has a total of 42. 

 For each primetime game this season, I will be providing you with my favorite plays at the Captain, MVP, Superstar positions as well as the flex position for DraftKings, FanDuel, and Yahoo.

Captain/MVP/SuperStar Plays

 
Nyheim Hines, RB $10,200 (DK), $11,000 (FD), $12 (Yahoo))

Jonathan Taylor has been ruled out leaving Hines to take over as RB1 to take on this Bronco defense that was just gashed by Josh Jacobs and the Raiders backfield for 175 yards and 2 scores. While I don’t expect Hines to run 144 yards like Jacobs he is just way too cheap here and according to the Team Rise or Fall Study Hub he has the highest scoring ceiling of any Colts skill position besides Michael Pittman. 

In addition to RB1 duties, Hines also offers great upside for his usage in the passing game. In the first three games of the year he 17 targets out the backfield.

Jerry Jeudy, WR $11,700 (DK), $12,000 (FD), $15 (Yahoo))

With Javonte Williams out for the year and Melvin Gordon also dealing with an injury we could see the Broncos rely on the pass more in this game. I expect a big game from Jeudy who has the second highest scoring ceiling to only Courtland Sutton in this game for Bronco skill position players according to the Team Rise or Fall Study Hub. 

 

Flex Plays

Mike Boone, RB $6,200 (DK), $9,000 (FD), $17 (Yahoo))

With Javonte out, Mike Boone becomes RB2 for the Broncos, and with Melvin Gordon dealing with a neck injury, and a major fumbling problem it would not be a surprise to see Boone end up with a decent amount of the workload despite what their coach has said about Gordon getting most of the work. If this backfield was a 50/50 split with Javonte, I don’t see that changing with Boone and Gordon as the two backs. 

Boone has the second-highest odds currently to score a touchdown and if his ownership continues to trend under 20% he makes for a great pivot play off the chalkier Melvin Gordon.
