Top NFL DFS Picks for Chargers vs 49ers Sunday Night Football Showdown
Welcome to the Top NFL DFS Picks for Chargers vs 49ers Sunday Night Football Showdown! The 49ers enter the game as 7.5 point home favorites against the banged up visiting Chargers. The game has a total of 45.
For each primetime game this season, I will be providing you with my favorite plays at the Captain, MVP, Superstar positions as well as the flex position for DraftKings, FanDuel, and Yahoo.
Christian McCaffrey, RB $17.400 (DK), $17,000 (FD), $43 (Yahoo))
McCaffrey in his first full game as a Niner last week, went for nearly 150 yards from scrimmage and tallied 3 total TDs. The Chargers come into this game allowing the second most fantasy points per game to opposing RBs.
I expect a huge game from McCaffrey and will gladly eat this chalk at the multiplier spots across all sites.
Congratulations to long-time Team Rise or Fall member “MadCow65” for winning the Draftkings Week 2 Milly Maker!

Josh Palmer, WR $11,700 (DK), $10,500 (FD), $18 (Yahoo))
Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are both out again which leaves Josh Palmer as WR1 once again this week. Last week Palmer had 10 targets, and 8 catches for 106 yards. With the expected volume he makes for a solid paydown option at the multiplier spots but especially on DK since it is a PPR site.
Austin Ekeler, RB $11,200 (DK), $16,500 (FD), $35 (Yahoo))
Austin Ekeler continues to be the Chargers’ offense however, he will be facing the best run defense in the league. The Niners have allowed the fewest yards and YPC on the ground and have allowed the 5th fewest receiving yards to opposing backs as well.
This is a terrible matchup on paper for Ekeler however, his volume keeps him in play but only in the flex for me not at the multiplier spot. Given the showdown format, I think a fade could even be in play as I expect the Niners to take Ekeler out of the game as much as possible and force Herbert to beat them with a receiving group of Palmer/DeAndre Carter/Michael Bandy/Jason Moore.
That will do it for me, if you want to receive my entire player pool along with notes for this game and for each main slate be sure to join us at Team Rise or Fall!
