Welcome to the Top NFL DFS Picks for Eagles vs Texans Thursday Night Football Showdown! We kick off week 9 with the undefeated Eagles heading to Houston to take on the Texans. The Eagles are a 14 point road favorite and the game has a total of 45.Â
 For each primetime game this season, I will be providing you with my favorite plays at the Captain, MVP, Superstar positions as well as the flex position for DraftKings, FanDuel, and Yahoo.Â
Captain/MVP/SuperStar Plays
Jalen Hurts, QB $17,700 (DK), $17,500 (FD), $36 (Yahoo))
Starting off with the obvious play of the game in Jalen Hurts. The Eagles have an implied team total of almost 30 and more than likely Hurts will account for nearly every TD the Eagles score in this game.
Hurts obviously has the highest ceiling of anyone in this game but he also provides the highest-scoring floor which regardless of how this game turns out we will want to have in our showdown lineups. Don’t overthink this one and play Hurts in your lineups. Whether that be at the multiplier spot or in the flex.

Miles Sanders, RB $15,600 (DK), $13,000 (FD), $24 (Yahoo))
While more than likely I will just play Jalen Hurts at the multiplier spots and move on, Mile Sanders needs to be mentioned and makes for a very good pivot off what will be a very chalky Hurts at CPT.Â
The Texans are just so bad against the run. They are allowing the most fantasy points per game to opposing RBs, the most yards per game, and second most TDs per game. If this game goes as Vegas thinks it should the Eagles should run away with this one which in theory could lead to a heavier volume day for Sanders. Before last week, Miles did touch the ball at least 15 times in every game this year. Last week with the passing game dominating he only ran the ball 9 times but did go for 78 yards and a score. I expect a monster day for Sanders.Â

Flex Plays
Boston Scott, RB $1,600 (DK), $7,500 (FD), $10 (Yahoo))
I initially thought about writing up the Eagles’ defense but they 7K on DK, that is just a crazy price to pay for a defense no matter what the game script is. So I wanted to mention a salary saver and sticking to attacking the Texans via the run brings us to Boston Scott. Over the last two games, Boston has carried the ball 13 times and has seemed to establish himself as RB2 for the Eagles. We have seen the Eagles give him and even Gainwell goalline carries before and if he happens to score more than likely he will be optimal. There is also the blow out script in play here that sees the Eagles just smash the Texans in the first half and start to mix in the backups more to keep the starters fresh since this is a short week and they are on the road.Â
