Top NFL DFS Value Picks for FanDuel | NFL DFS Week 3

Welcome to the Team Rise or Fall Top NFL DFS Value Picks for DraftKings article. It is here that we’ll look to identify potential spots that will allow you to pay down for plays that are expected to exceed their NFL DFS salaries and put you in a great spot to land on the right side of the cash line.

I’ve been blown away by the competitiveness of the games to this point in the season. I know we’re only two weeks in, but it looks like we’re gearing up to have a fantastic season. There are only seven undefeated teams left and three of them are in the NFC West, but I digress. Let’s look at this week’s NFL DFS value plays.

NFL DFS Value Pick – Quarterbacks

Lamar Jackson – Baltimore Ravens

I know typically one doesn’t consider an $8,400 player a “value”, however, in reviewing the Team Rise or Fall NFL DFS Study Hub, Jackson is considered the best quarterback value on the main slate. We saw ceiling Lamar on Sunday Night Football against the Chiefs where he threw for 239 yards and a score and rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns. Obviously, it isn’t ideal that they lost Dobbins and Edwards prior to the season starting but this will mean the team will put the ball in Jackson’s hands even more to make plays for the team.

Ryan Tannehill – Tennessee Titans

I know Tannehill struggled week one against the Cardinals barely eclipsing 200 yards passing and only throwing for one touchdown. Last week against the Seahawks was a coming out party of sorts. The offense finally seemed to click – weird (not really) that it was also a game where Henry went bonkers. Tannehill threw for 347 yards but failed to throw a touchdown pass. I think this Is the week positive regression wiIl hit. The Titans offense simply has too many weapons and Tannehill is too talented to not be success in this offense. He’ll face a Colts defense that has given up six passing touchdowns through two games.  Looking most recently we saw the damage Cooper Kupp Inflicted on Sunday. I can see not only Tannehill but his wideouts Julio Jones and A. J. Brown having good games.

NFL DFS Value Pick – Running Backs

Saquon Barkley – New York Giants

I know Saquon isn’t exactly one you think of when it comes to “value” in DFS. His price is down to a low $6,000 going against the Atlanta Falcons who have allowed 127.5 rushing yards per game to this point in the season. Daniel Jones, yes the quarterback Daniel Jones, leads the team in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. While the Giants have eased Barkley back into action, 26 touches through two games, they will have to find a way to get their best offensive player more opportunities. I think we’re all hoping for a 20+ touch game but I think we’d all be happy to just see them unleash the Quad all over the Falcons. He is far and away the best value running back according to the NFL DFS Study Hub.

Antonio Gibson – Washington Football Team

Gibson is the main ball carrier in Washington right now, what kills fantasy owners is his lack of passing down work. He had 23 touches in week one against the Chargers then dropped to 15 touches week two against the Giants. Albeit, the week two tilt against the Giants was on four days rest since it was a Monday night game. The Team Rise or Fall NFL DFS Study Hub lists Gibson as the second best value at the running back position. The Bills have been stout against the run in their first two games, allowing less than four yards per carry. It’ll be interesting to see what type of work Gibson gets and If Washington will protect their inexperienced quarterback from Buffalo’s ferocious defense.

NFL DFS Value Pick – Wide Receivers

Robert Woods – Los Angeles Rams

Through two weeks of the season Cooper Kupp seems to be new Rams starting quarterback Matthew Stanford’s go-to guy. Cupp is out-targeting Woods 21 to 13. However, regression always happens and defenses will start to adjust to where the targets are going in theory opening Woods to see more targets – emphasis on “in theory.” Woods is the second best wideout value according to the NFL DFS Study Hub ranking behind only Tyreek Hill. The Rams opponent this week, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, possess a stout run defense which should force the Rams to rely on their passing game even more than usual. I like that chances of game script requiring the Rams bro become a pass dominate team.

Deebo Samuel – San Francisco 49ers

It wouldn’t be an article by me if I didn’t try to slip in a 49ers player. Deebo is the NFL leader in receiving yards and yards after the catch. He’s averaging 10 targets per game which has been a huge surprise considering this offense has George Kittle and Brandon Aiyuk. It’ll be interesting to see the 49ers game plan coming into this week with all the injuries to the running back position. The Packers defense looked strong against the Lions but looked lost against the Saints in week one. I don’t mind taking a shot here at only $6,600.

NFL DFS Value Pick – Tight Ends

Tyler Higbee – Los Angeles Rams

I am not a fan of tight end pricing this week. I’ll be as transparent as possible I’ll probably pay up for one of the big three (Kelce, Waller, or Kittle) or go way down to a punt option. For the sake If the article Higbee is considered the sixth best TE value but he kind-of, sort-of fits the value category at a $5,500 price tag.

Pat Freiermuth – Pittsburgh Steelers

The rookie Freiermuth out-targeted veteran Eric Ebron, four to two. I understand that we’re only two weeks into the season, but the Steelers used a second-round pick on the tight end out of Penn State. I expect to see the target and price disparity go to Freiermuth as the rookie gets more comfortable with his role and builds rapport with Big Ben. I like this as my punt option at only $4,600.

I know there are some blemishes on each of the players on the list, but remember – you get what you pay for!
