Top NFL DFS Value Picks for FanDuel | NFL DFS Week 7
Welcome to the Team Rise or Fall Top NFL DFS Value Picks for DraftKings article. It is here that we’ll look to identify potential spots that will allow you to pay down for plays that are expected to exceed their NFL DFS salaries and put you in a great spot to land on the right side of the cash line.
I’m ready to move past last week’s craziness in which Latavious Murray, Devonta Freeman, and Le’Veon Bell all scored a touchdown for the Baltimore Ravens – what year is this? Some smash spots just lets us down – I’m looking at you Washington. But, the great part about NFL DFS, there’s always a new week on the horizon!
NFL DFS Value Pick – Quarterbacks
Matt Ryan – Atlanta Falcons
Matty Ice has played well through the first five games of the season. He’s thrown for multiple touchdowns in four out of five games this season. He’s also hit a minimum 3x his value in all but the first game of the season. This is a juicy matchup for the Atlanta passing game. Over the Dolphins last three games their pass defense is allowing 319.7 pass yards per game, which ranks second to last in the NFL. Ryan is dropping back an average of 40.8 times per game.
Derek Carr – Las Vegas Raiders
After a few subpar games Carr again looked sharp. There are a few other quarterbacks that are in smash spots but I’m looking at value under a $8k price tag. According to the Team Rise or Fall NFL DFS Study Hub he’s the second best value of quarterbacks under the $8k mark. Over the Eagles last three games they’re allowing 242 yards through the air. The Raiders do have an implied team total of just over 26 points. I like Carr as a low owned tournament option.
NFL DFS Value Pick – Running Backs
Josh Jacobs – Las Vegas Raiders
Jacobs has missed some time do you injury but has been big in the games he has played in. Jacobs has four touchdown in four games this season. To this point in the season the Eagles run defense is allowing 135.3 yards per game, fifth worst in the NFL. To add a little extra spice into this play we can also see that Jacobs is see a little over three targets per game. It’s nothing to plant your flag on but it gives him additional touches which is always a good thing. The Team Rise or Fall NFL DFS Study Hub projects Jacobs to be the 7th highest scoring back on the main slate.
Darrel Williams – Kansas City Chiefs
We are going back to the Williams well again this week. He had an exceptional performance last weekend scoring 22.4 FanDuel points. The RoF NFL DFS Study Hub lists Williams as the third best running back value on the main slate of games. This game between the Chiefs and Titans possesses the highest implied total on the slate at 56.5 points. The Chiefs have an implied team total of 30.75 points. Williams received 24 touches last game and if he gets close to that mark again I’m all for locking him in.
NFL DFS Value Pick – Wide Receivers
Jaylen Waddle – Miami Dolphins
What I want to focus on here is Waddle with Tua at quarterback. I’m going to discount week two because Tua was injured early on and didn’t get to play much. In the two weeks the youngsters were able to play together in weeks one and six, Waddle scored 14.1 and 24 FanDuel points respectively. Waddle also has 18 targets in those two games. What this tells me is that there is a rapport that has continued from their Alabama days. Atlanta is allowing 29.6 points per game this season, second worst in the NFL.
Chris Godwin – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
There are plenty of mouths to feed in the Tampa Bay offense. The price of Godwin keeps on dropping and it’s at the lowest it’s been all season. The Buccs face off against the Bears who possess a top 8 pass defense. However, when you have Tom Brady slinging the ball around, that defense isn’t one to be afraid of. In reviewing the RoF NFL DFS Study Hub we can see Godwin is responsible for a 15.47% target share of the Tampa offense. I’m willing to gamble on a regression to the mean and see some more production out of Godwin this week.
NFL DFS Value Pick – Tight Ends
Ricky Seals-Jones – Washington Football Team
RSJ finds his way back into the value article again this week. He did exactly what we needed him to do. He put up a 4/58/1 stat line on 6 targets. This week Washington visits Green Bay. The Packers pass defense is a stingy one giving up only 206.5 pass yards per game. We know Logan Thomas is on IR so RSJ will continue to receive 95+% of the teams tight end targets.
Tyler Higbee – Los Angeles Rams
I want exposure to this game. Obviously we saw Cooper Kupp and Matthew Stafford connect early and often this passed Sunday. The Rams have the highest implied team total on the slate at 32.75 points. Over the last four weeks Higbee’s market share is only 12.5% according to the RoF NFL DFS Study Hub. What we’re looking for here is tournament leverage against the higher owned Cupp and Robert Woods.
I there are some blemishes on each of the players on the list, but remember – you get what you pay for!
