Top NFL DFS Value Picks for FanDuel| NFL DFS Week 8

Welcome to the Team Rise or Fall Top NFL DFS Value Picks for DraftKings article. It is here that we’ll look to identify potential spots that will allow you to pay down for plays that are expected to exceed their NFL DFS salaries and put you in a great spot to land on the right side of the cash line.

I know that we’re almost halfway through the NFL DFS season and I want to give you some tips to spice things up. I know its typical that we stick to slates we’re comfortable with – the Sunday main slate. However, I want you to think outside of the box and give yourself some options when it comes to these slates. Below, I’ve included some plays for the Monday night game. One thing I’ve done with success is play the Thursday – Monday slate and totally fade the Thursday night game. Usually, Thursday games aren’t high scoring and are sluggish, especially as we progress through the season and teams are starting to get beat up. Anywho, let’s dive in.

Yeah, no big deal. One of our coaches taking down $200k. Join us and start winning today!

NFL DFS Value Pick – Quarterbacks

Matt Ryan – Atlanta Falcons

Matt Ice finds his way back into the value article after a nice Sunday against the Dolphins. According to the Team Rise IR Fall NFL DFS Study Hub, Ryan is the best value at the quarterback position of any quarterback under $8k. This week the Falcons face off against a Carolina team that seems to be struggling with the absence of Christian McCaffrey. Ryan is averaging approximately 23 FanDuel points over his last four starts. The Panthers pass defense is allowing only 197.1 passing yards per game, but over the last three games that yardage has increased to 251.3 yards per game.

Daniel Jones – New York Giants

We all remember chalk Daniel Jones week a few weeks back. I don’t think he’ll be chalk because of the people he burned then, but man, is this a juicy matchup. This game Carrie’s an implied game total of 52 points, second highest of the slate. I’m not going to site here and BS you with stats. The Chiefs have looked horrific the last few games and this seems like a perfect “get right” spot. Game script should call for more passing for the Giants and with the Chiefs defense being as bad as it’s proven to be, I’m all for getting exposure to Danny Dimes. As far as I can tell by my research Saquon Barkley isn’t expected to play, so this will put the onus on Jones to carry a bigger load of the offense.

NFL DFS Value Pick – Running Back

Eli Mitchell – San Francisco 49ers

FanDuel missed the boat here with Mitchell’s pricing. According to the Rise IR Fall NFL DFS Study Hub, he’s fat and away the best running back value on Sunday’s main slate. Our projections are slating him for about 19 touches. Chicago’s run defense is allowing 135.7 rushing yards per game over their last three games and will be without Khalil Mack. In San Francisco’s loss on Sunday Nighy Football Mitchell had all but three of the team’s running back carries and averaged 5.9 yards per carry. The Vegas total on this game is only 39.5 points but at least you’ll know where the volume will go in the 49ers backfield.

Darrel Williams – Kansas City Chiefs

Darrel Williams represents the third best running back value according to the RoF NFL DFS Study Hub. After a big first game is Clyde Edward’s-Helaire’s absence, Williams came back down to earth in the Chiefs walloping against the Titans. The Chiefs are far too talented to be held to three points again. The Chiefs are nearly 10 point favorites. If the game script goes that way, expect Williams to get a great game script allowing him to get more carries. Our projections are expecting nearly 20 touches and approximately 12 FanDuel points.

NFL DFS Value Pick – Wide Receivers

Brandin Cooks – Houston Texans

I know Cooks isn’t at the top of your player pool when the Texans have scored a grand total of 39 points over their last five games. I understand this doesn’t inspire confidence but rest assured I trust in the NFL DFS Study Hub and it’s projections. Cooks is the second best wide receiver value on the slate, trailing only Tyreek Hill. Tyrod Taylor was activated from injured reserve and is within his three week window to play a live game. If he were to start I would love Cooks even more as he was the starter to begin the season and Cooks posted his good performances with Taylor leading behind center.

Jakobi Meyers – New England Patriots

Meyers in the number one option for New England’s rookie quarterback Mac Jones. Meyers has seen 59 targets through seven games, good for almost 8.5 targets a game. The Los Angeles chargers have played a stingy pass defense allowing approximately 202 yards through the air per game. This isn’t a high volume play by any means. However, the Chargers are allowing 1.5 passing touchdowns per game and there has to be a positive regression for Meyers who has yet to score an NFL touchdown in his two and a half year career. This game has an implied total of 49 points with the Patriots five point underdogs.

NFL DFS Value Pick – Tight Ends

Ricky Seals-Jones – Washington Football Team

RSJ has been in this article for a few consecutive weeks and he’ll be here once again. He’s seeming nearly 7.5 targets per game in Logan Thomas’ absence. Thomas once again, will be out this week against the Broncos. I definitely want exposure to this game and a Broncos team that has dropped  four straight games after winning their first three. Denver is a middle of the pack defense against the pass. I don’t mind playing the value here and locking in RSJ.

Dallas Goedert –  Philadelphia Eagles

Goedert is really a borderline value play for me here. We all knew his role would change with Zach Ertz being shipped off to Arizona. Prior to this upcoming week, Goedert is seeing only a 12.04% market share of the Eagles’ targets. I expect we’ll continue to see that number grow as he’s the only tight end in town (so to speak). Goedert is also seeing 74% of the Eagles’ snaps, another number which I expect to increase througout the next few weeks. I like Goedert as a pivot off of Kyle Pitts and Travis Kelce.

I know there are some blemishes on each of the players on the list, but remember – you get what you pay for!
