Week 5 NFL DFS Value Picks
The most lovable longshot…
Hunter Renfrow
You might be asking yourself why am I calling Hunter Renfrow a longshot. Well… let me tell you! He’s been out with a concussion and Wednesday was his first full-contact practice. In addition, he plays second fiddle to Davante Adams in earning targets from Carr. The good news is, he’s not very pricey this week and it’s supposed to be a high-scoring game. I feel quite comfortable adding Renfrow to my Week 5 DraftKings DFS Value Picks article. He’s priced at just $5.3K, projected for more than 12 fantasy points, and has a low rostership percentage.
Who Doesn’t Love a Tight End?
Logan Thomas
Wait. Who? I’m choosing Logan Thomas this week as my favorite value TE because of the matchup. The Titans are dead-last in defending against TEs, allowing the highest catch rate and the fourth most receiving yards, as well as yards per reception. If there was ever a big game for Logan Thomas, this one is it. He’s priced at $3.2K and projected to bring more than 6 fantasy points, but I predict it will be much higher than that. Oh, and you don’t need to worry about rostership percentage.
Living Up To The Hype?
Tyler Allgeier or Caleb Huntley
With Cordarrelle Patterson officially on Injured Reserve… Tyler Allgeier was a very popular fantasy pickup this week, along with Caleb Huntley. The two will be taking on the majority of the backfield workload over the next 4 long weeks. Allgeier has been on the field more than the other backups, so it makes sense that he might see the most action. Huntley can be picked up at $4.3K and is projected to bring just 4.7 points. That doesn’t sound too great. Allgeier is priced at $4.7K and is projected to bring in 7.05 fantasy points. Neither have any worrisome rostership percentages, but I feel like they’re both best used after the rest of your stellar lineup is in order.
