Which Titans WR holds the most value in 2022 Underdog Fantasy Best Ball?

Who will emerge as the Titans WR1? And why is that significant for winning in Underdog Fantasy Best Ball?

We all know that A.J. Brown is in Philly, and Julio Jones is in Tampa Bay, but did you know that Chester Rogers, Anthony Firkser, Jeremy McNichols & Marcus Johnson also skipped town? In total, those 6 guys accounted for almost 200 receptions, 2,300 yards and 10 TDs in 2021. The only significant holdover in the WR room is Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and he’s rarely being drafted in Best Ball. The good news for Tannehill is, the Titans brought in some reinforcements:

Robert Woods

Woods is the only receiver on the team who’s achieved a 1,000 yard season in his career, and he is “expected” by many to be WR1 to start the year. Early reports from Tennessee’s camp are that he appears to be healthy and is practicing without his knee brace. But let’s not forget that he is entering his 30-year-old season (which historically are not kind to WRs), AND he’s also coming off of an ACL tear that he suffered this past November.

Treylon Burks

With the #18 overall pick in this year’s draft the Titans selected the WR from Arkansas, where he tallied 66 catches for over 1,100 yards and 11 TDs last year. It is easy to see why the Titans drafted the All-SEC stud after trading Brown to Philadelphia. Burks is listed at 6’3” 225lbs, which is a very similar profile to Brown who is listed as 2 inches shorter and the same weight. Burks was known in college for his highlight reel catches, and the Titans’ didn’t waste any time posting one from camp on their social media.

So where’s the value?

With Woods appearing seemingly healthy and some earlier concerns with Burks’ asthma, Burks’ ADP has fallen from 8.02 to 8.10 over the last 5 weeks.  Initial camp reports are all looking good for both of them, but I expect Woods’ ADP to rise as we progress into August and he begins to click with Tannehill. With Woods (9.07) and Burks having very similar ADP’s in Underdog Fantasy Best Ball, I’d be grabbing the rookie and all of his upside when selecting between the Titans’ wideouts.
