It is natural for us to chase feelings and experiences that make us feel good. Heck, we should all live our lives that way! From the moment we wake up until the time our head hits the pillow! Granted, in today’s society that is impossible unless we make the decision to change or chase!

I just realized I described this perfect dystopian nonexistent world. Well, in my mind I am always thinking about ways to improve my lifestyle and happiness. Whatever that may be and by any costs.

As I turn 38 years old today a few things are clear. We are never too old to change our situation. We are never too old to seek more education. We are never too old to chase down happiness. We are never too old to seek out others who share our same beliefs and positive intentions! Thanks for all the birthday love today! You are all the best!

CAROLINA HURRICANES L1 vs. Detroit Red Wings 7p EST

The Carolina Hurricanes head home having won three of their last four games. While Frederik Andersen was solid against the Rangers posting a .933 save percentage and only allowing two goals on 30 total shots. Star center Sebastian Aho scored one goal and two assists last time out. White fellow linemates Seth Jarvis and Andrei Svchnikov also scored in addition to one assist apiece.

The Red Wings head to Carolina on a two-game losing streak after a nasty loss to the Senators 4-1. Detroit overall has been bad for most of the season, and I see no reason why it changes this late in the year. The total has gone over in 6 of the Wing’s last 8 games. The Wings are also 2-8 straight in their last 10 games.

This stack is a lay-up and do not fight it. The Hurricanes roll the Wings and win by a final score of 6-2!

ST. LOUIS BLUES L1 at Buffalo Sabers 7p EST

St. Louis has won eight of their last ten games! Blues goalie Ville Husso should get the start in goal for St. Louis tonight in Buffalo. Ville has been awesome this year and boasts a stellar 23-6-5 overall record this season. Vladimir Tarasenko is a stone-cold stud, what else is new, and scored twice last time out. The Blues are 43-20-10 overall this season and sit in 4th place in the Eastern Conference.

The Sabers are 27-37-11 overall this season and are going nowhere, sorry Buffalo fans. Buffalo is also 14-17-6 at home but still not good enough to appeal to any of us sports bettors. Here are some recent betting trends I find useful for tonight.

St. Louis is 9-4 in their last 13 games in Buffalo.
St. Louis is 5-0 in their last 5 games against a team with a losing record.
The favorite is 13-3 in the last 16 meetings between these two.

No secret here but the Blues win by a final score of 6-2!

Weird that I’d mention the Sharks here, right? San Jose has lost 7 games in a row. The Sharks now have a record of 29-33-10 and have been eliminated from playoff contention. However, doesn’t mean they can’t provide value on a nightly basis for us DFS-ers!

Believe it or not, Chicago is worse off than the Sharks. The Blackhawks have lost their last 8 games. Last time out Chicago got wailed on by the Kings dropping their overall record to 24-38-11. This season the Sharks are scoring, on average, 2.60 goals a game. While the Blackhawks are scoring, on average, 2.60 goals a game. So, on paper this one should wind up a tie, right?

San Jose is 7-2 in their last 9 games against Chicago. The Sharks will win tonight by a final score of 5-2!

This game spoke to me last night. The Canucks in general did as I began to jot down my Hot Puck notes. It is almost too good to be true. Then I wrestled with the idea of mentioning Vancouver first or giving Beastie the credit with her bonus. As you can see the latter one.

Vancouver is 5th overall in the Pacific Division carrying a 36-28-10 record. Vancouver is also peaking at the right time as they need points to grab a playoff spot. They are currently on a four-game win streak and have looked good. Not to sound rude but the Coyotes are walking into a buzz saw tonight in Vancouver.

The over is 3-1-1 the last 5 times these two have met. The over is also 9-2-1 in Vancouver’s last 12 games as a home favorite. Make no mistake the Canuck will roll here and please stack their first line!

The Vancouver Canucks make it look easy tonight and beat Arizona by a final score of 7-2!
