NBA DFS Top Value Plays for Tuesday 01/17/23
Precious Achiuwa is a great value play for tonight’s slate. He’s currently priced at just $3,300 on DraftKings and has a projected score of 18.82. He’s listed as a center and is playing against the Milwaukee Bucks, who have a DVP (Defense vs Position) ranking of 22 for centers.
Achiuwa is projected to play around 21 minutes, we’re projected his value around 5.70x. His floor is projected to be 12.53 which is obviously not great but his ceiling is 25.11 is achievable if he can snag a few extra minutes. He’s also averaging 0.92 Fantasy Points per Minute (FP/Min) which again bodes well if he can get a few extra minutes during any of his rotations.
Ben Simmons is another solid value play. He’s currently priced at $5,900 and has a projected score of 33.23. He’s listed as a power forward/center and is playing against the San Antonio Spurs, who have a DVP ranking of 17 for power forwards/centers.
We have him projected to play 28 minutes but that could increase depending on injury news. His value of 5.63x is solid for his price and his ceiling is 40.99 is easily within reach given how Simmons fills the stat sheet in so many ways. He’s also averaging 1.19 FP/Min is further evidence of his ability to contribute in several ways without scoring “real points”. I think Ben Simmons is a great option to consider if you’re looking to save some salary and still have 50 point upside which will give you the ability to roster some of the higher-priced players in the rest of your lineup.

Kyrie Irving is priced at $9,900 and despite the high price tag still ranks as one of the best value plays on the slate as we have him projected to score 54.11 DK points tonight.
The San Antonio Spurs, who have a DVP ranking of 30 vs point guards should excite you as he will have plenty of opportunities to put up fantasy points in this matchup. He’s projected to play 38 minutes, and as I said before, his value of 5.47x is elite despite his high price. His floor is projected to be 42.26 and his ceiling is 65.97. He’s also averaging 1.42 FP/Min.
Irving is a great option to consider tonight even with his high price tag he should be able to return and exceed value in this matchup
Michael Porter Jr. has been on a tear as of late, and he’s a great value play for tonight’s slate. He’s currently priced at $5,400 and has a projected score of 29.19. He’s listed as a small forward and is playing against the Portland Trail Blazers, who have a DVP ranking of 23 vsr small forwards.
He’s projected to play 29 minutes, and currently has a value of 5.40x. His floor is projected to be 21.27 and his ceiling is 37.10. He’s a great option to consider if you’re looking to save some salary to roster some of the higher-priced players.
Seth Curry is a great value play. He’s currently priced at $4,300 and has a projected score of 22.81. The San Antonio Spurs, who have a DVP ranking of 30 vs point guard/shooting guards should allow him to excel tonight. We have him projected to play 25 minutes, which gives him a good chance to reach and exceed his value of 5.31x.
His floor is projected to be 15.46 and his ceiling is 30.16. He’s also averaging 0.90 FP/Min. Curry is a sharpshooter, has a great three-point shooting percentage, and he’s been playing well lately, making him an interesting option to consider in your lineup.
In conclusion, these players are great options to consider for tonight’s slate. They provide great value for their salary and have the potential to out-perform their projections.
